8 Days Tours Chebera Churchura and Maze National Park

After breakfast, embark on a drive from Addis Ababa to Chebera Churchura National Park, passing through Jimma (346 km on paved roads and 124 km on unpaved roads, totaling 470 km). Jimma is the main city in the Kaffa region, known as the birthplace of coffee, where it was first discovered by a shepherd named Kaldis. Enjoy lunch in Jimma before continuing to Chida-Amaya and then to the park's headquarters for game viewing. Overnight at a tented camp, likely at Filwuha campsite within CCNP.

Travel to Lake Bulo for opportunities to see African elephants, hippopotamuses, Cape buffalo, lions, and leopards. Overnight at a tented camp near Lake Bulo.

Drive towards Shoshuma Campsite, focusing on viewing elephants along the way. Overnight at the Shoshuma tented camp.

After an early morning game drive, depart from Chebera Churchura National Park to Maze National Park via Amaya, Chida, Sodo, and Maze (323 km). Overnight at a tented camp in Maze National Park.

Maze National Park features vast savannah grasslands and is dedicated to protecting the endemic Swayne’s Hartebeest. Expect to see various mammals such as oribi, bohor, red buck, warthog, bushbuck, waterbuck, greater kudu, lesser kudu, bush pig, Anubis baboon, vervet monkey, leopard, and wild cats. Overnight at a tented camp in Maze National Park.

Drive back to Addis Ababa via the Sodo-Butajira Road, stopping to visit Welayata Villages along the way.
